Ultrasound Department
The most up to date and painless diagnostic method, biotechnology has to offer, widely used in:
· For checking the ovaries · For monitoring the follicle growth up to ovulation · For monitoring the endometrium development to the perifolicular, three line endometrium stage. · For collecting the oocytes transvaginaly · For transferring the embryos in the uterus · For Intrauterine insemination (IUI), Fallopian tube sperm perfusion (FSP) and Intrauterine tuboperitoneal insemination (IUTPI).
B. Gynaecology· For checking the size, tecture and position of the uterus (uterine fibroids, endometrium thickness, adenomyosis, uterine polyps, saline test for assessing the size of the polyps, uterine congenital abnormalities) · For checking the ovaries (for ovarian cysts, endometriosis, malignancies, ovulation) · For checking the fallopian tubes (hydrosalpinges) · For assessing the blood flow of the uterus and the ovaries through Doppler ultrasound)
